Capacitors do not play an important role in DC circuit because it is impossible for a steady current to flow across a capacitor.
In DC Circuit, the capacitor charges slowly, until the charging voltage of a capacitor is equal to the supply voltage. Also, in this condition the capacitor doesn't allow the current to pass through it after it gets fully charged.
In power supplies, capacitors are used to smooth the pulsating DC output after rectification so that a nearly constant DC voltage is supplied to the load.
A Capacitor can store the charge as it has two electrodes with dielectric media in between. It does not allow any current to pass through it.A capacitor stores energy as a function of voltage and resist changes in voltage by drawing current from or supplying current to the source of the voltage change, in opposition to the change.
When capacitor used in dc circuit capacitor act as a open circuit. Thus capacitor in dc circuit act as a insulator
Capacitors in DC Circuits. Capacitors do not play an important role in DC circuits because it is impossible for a steady current to flow across acapacitor. If an uncharged capacitor is connected across the terminals of a battery of voltage then a transientcurrent flows as the capacitor plates charge up
Capacitors in dc circuits are charged up with voltage and it does not allow current.thus, capacitors in dc circuits acts as insulator.
When capacitors are connected across a direct current DC supply voltage they become charged to the value of the applied voltage, acting like temporary storage devices and maintain or hold this charge indefinitely as long as the supply voltage is present.
A open switch....When capacitors are connected across a direct current DC supply voltage they become charged equal to its supply voltage. This acts like temporary storage device.During this charging process, a charging current will flow into the capacitor
But Once the capacitor is “fully-charged” the capacitor blocks the flow of any more electrons onto its plates as they have become saturated. So there is no way that a steady current flows across a capacitor.
When used in a direct current or DC circuit, a capacitor charges up to its supply voltage but blocks the flow of current through it because the dielectric of a capacitor is non-conductive and basically an insulator.

A coupling capacitor is used to connect two circuits such that only AC from first circuit can pass through to next while DC is being blocked.
In DC circuit .A capacitor changes up to its supply voltage but blocks the flow of current because it is non conductive and acts as insulator...but allows the oscillation of dc...while in dc circuit power supply
When attached in DC circuit, capacitor acts as an open circuit. But due to the alternating nature of AC,capacitor cannot block currentin the circuit.c.D
A capacitor blocks DC as once it gets charged up to the input voltage with same polarity then no further transfer of electron can happen accept to replenish the slow discharge due to leakage if any hence the flow of electrons which represents electric current is stopped.
A capacitor blocks DC but also stores charge. And it acts as a short circuit at initial stage and a fully charged capacitor behave as an open circuit.
A capacitor In a DC circuit begins to block the DC current only after it is fully charged. So,this fully charged capacitor can now be used as a DC supply to a load or to provide a regulated power supply.
Capacitor is used to store energy. Capacitor is used to supply current to load. The capacitor block DC only after it has became charge fully equal to dc voltage available. Whenever capacitor is connected to d it does not block DC immediately. Capacitor is used to smooth(filter) the pulsating DC output after rectification
Capacitors are used in dc to smooth(filter) the pulsating dc output after verification so that nearly constant dc voltage is supplied to the load..And capacitor is used to supply current to the load..And it does not block dc suddenly it blocks only after it has become charge fully equal to dc voltage
Capacitor acts like an elastic membrane it allows the oscillation but blocks the flow of current. Capacitor resist a charges in voltage while inductor resist the change in current and acts as an short circuit in DC.
Capacitors block DC but also it pass AC....
So they mostly used to reduce the noise in the power supply or highly voltage transients...
Therefore the capacitors acts as the short circuit...
They also store charges on the plate...
In dc circuits , capacitors are used to stabilize the voltage. They get charged upto the supply voltage and retain it as the same until the supply voltage starts decreasing. Then, the capacitor will get discharged to keep the supply voltage upto it's normal value.

In DC Circuit, the capacitor charges slowly, until the charging voltage of a capacitor is equal to the supply voltage. Also, in this condition the capacitor doesn’t allow the current to pass through it after it gets fully charged.
When dc supply is given to capacitor it gets fully charged until the given supply voltage. So dc supply is used to charge the capacitor without discharging. So in dc circuits capacitors are used to get more current gain at the nodes.
When we connect capacitors in DC circuits , there will be small current flow will occur until the plates becomes saturated.
when a dc voltage is applied across a capacitor,at first the capacitor don't block dc it allows the current to pass and store energy and stop when the equilibrium is reached so,if the dc supply is removed ,capacitor will send current to the load.when there is an power or an voltage surge across the capacitor it will block it and provide an clean output.
When capacitor is connected to DC circuit,it charges itself to obtain the supply voltage and blocks the current flow because the dielectric of the capacitor is mostly non conductive and is an insulator.
The charged capacitor acts as a open switch in DC circuit.
When capacitor used in dc circuit, that capacitor act as open circuit, due to alternative nature of ac- capacitor does not block current and allows to pass through.
Capacitors in dc circuits charges up the voltage but it does allow the flow of current. Thus, capacitors acts as a insulator.

Capacitor is used in DC circuits because the capacitor will charge it's supply voltage and block the follow of current through it.
