A MOSFET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor) is a type of semiconductor device used for amplification and switching in electronic circuits. It consists of a metal gate electrode separated from the semiconductor channel by an insulating oxide layer, allowing for efficient control of current flow.
